Olivia Wilde scores win against Jason Sudeikis in messy legal battle
New York, New York - Olivia Wilde secured a legal win against Jason Sudeikis amid the exes' custody battle.
On Tuesday, TMZ reported that the Tron: Legacy star has gained the upper-hand against her ex-partner after Jason's legal filing earlier this year.
According to the outlet, the exes met via Zoom in July with their respective attorneys and judges in New York, where the 46-year-old comedian currently resides, and Los Angeles, Olivia's place of residence.
The former pair's hearing came hours after the 38-year-old actor filed to have Jason's custody petition regarding their children, Otis and Daisy, dismissed.
Per documents obtained by the outlet, both judges sided with Olivia, claiming that New York was not the children's home and ruling in favor of keeping the kids in her native California instead.
Furthermore, Page Six dished that this now means that the initial case has been dismissed in New York.
Wilde's small victory comes after the Horrible Bosses star served her court docs onstage in April during a public appearance, asking a judge to hear their custody case in New York.
Yet, the Don't Worry Darling director called out Jason for serving the papers during her presentation at CinemaCon, accusing him of trying to "embarrass" her "professionally."
Jason has since claimed in his own filing that he "regretted" what happened and that the incident "marred her special moment."
But, the exes' custody war is not over, since the judges' ruling didn't dismiss the case altogether. And with Wilde reportedly looking to move to London with her new boo Harry Styles, things could get even more messy!
