Olivia Rodrigo is driving home 2 u on Disney+
Los Angeles, California – Olivia Rodrigo is giving her fans an inside look at the making of her debut album in an intimate Disney+ film.
If you've ever wondered how pop's new princess made her debut album, Sour, you're in luck.
On Thursday, the 18-year-old announced the documentary, OLIVIA RODRIGO: driving home 2 u, will be available to stream on Disney+ on March 25.
The Stacey Lee-directed film will showcase Rodrigo's 2021 road trip from Salt Lake City, where she began recording her debut album, to her hometown of Los Angeles.
Along with the announcement came a trailer for the forthcoming doc, which is set to include new live arrangements of the songs from Sour, intimate interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage from the making of Rodrigo's Geffen Records album.
The trailer includes commentary from the good 4 u singer about what inspired the album, stating, "I think I just wanted to tell people what was going on in the back of my head in a way that was proud and not ashamed."
Arguably one of the most noteworthy aspects of Sour is the fact it was created in roughly four months.
Following the unexpected success of her breakout hit, Driver's License, Rodrigo hit the studio hard, and it paid off.
Sour debuted at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart, where it remained for five weeks.
