Nia Long and Celtics coach Ime Udoka split months after cheating scandal
Los Angeles, California - Actor Nia Long and her fiancé Ime Udoka have called it quits three months after the Celtics coach made headlines for his alleged affair.
The Soul Food star and her now-ex fiancé have parted ways after 13 years together.
According to an unnamed source who spoke to People, the former pair are "no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son, Kez.
"The situation is unfortunate and painful, but Nia is focusing on her children and rebuilding her life," the source added.
The news isn't too surprising considering the scandalous fallout surround the Boston Celtics coach's suspension.
In September, it was announced that the NBA team suspended Udoka for a "violation of team policies."
It was later reported that the 45-year-old's suspension stemmed from "an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff."
Udoka issued a public apology after the explosive reports circulated around the internet.
"I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down. I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team's decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment," the statement read.
Long, who had been engaged to Udoka since 2015, attempted to maintain a low-profile after the cheating allegations dropped. However, the The Best Man star recently called out the NBA for it's perceived lack of care for her and her sons.
"If you're in the business of protecting women – I'm sorry, no one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I'm OK, to see if my children are OK. It's very disappointing," she expressed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Here's to wishing Long the best after all the drama.
