"My bad": Tom Holland admits to a gassy accident on set with Zendaya
Los Angeles, California - Spider-Man: No Way Home co-stars Tom Holland and Zendaya are Hollywood's latest supercouple, and their love has definitely passed the smell test – in more ways than one, according to the British star!
He and Zendaya spoke to SiriusXM last Friday, and the Brit revealed a painfully embarrassing incident that happened on the set of the latest Marvel movie.
During a conversation about the technicalities behind the shots of Spider-Man swinging on his web with Mary Jane Watson, the hosts turned to the harnesses used to create the effects.
A few minutes later, Holland dropped the bombshell: "I farted, yeah I farted on [Zendaya] unfortunately. It's tough, the suit's tight, the harness squeezes it out," the 25-year-old admitted.
When asked whether he "fessed up" or had to be "ratted out" by someone else, Holland insisted he immediately offered up a "sorry, my bad" to his scene partner.
He had little choice in the matter, according to Zendaya. "It was very obvious," she said. "I felt the rattle."
Size doesn't matter for Holland
Breaking wind didn't break their burgeoning relationship, though. Judging by their relaxed and amused attitude to the whole incident, the two are clearly on the same page – despite not quite being on the same height.
That subject came up over the course of the SiriusXM interview too, and Holland dismissed the attention to his shorter stature as "misogynistic."
"She's not that much taller," he blurted out. "Let's just put this out there. Maybe like an inch or two at best. It's not like, people say like, 'How did you guys kiss? It must have been so difficult!'"
Split the difference and you have IMDb's measurements, with Tom Holland listed at 5 foot 7 and Zendaya at 5 foot 8½.
Either way, this is a non-issue for both of them. "I honestly never thought of it as a thing because my parents were always that way," Zendaya said, referring to her mom being taller than her dad.
Rumors about Holland and Zendaya dating had been swirling all summer long before things became official with the sweetest of Instagram posts.
