The monumental achievement saw MrBest take the top spot from fellow creator PewDiePie on Monday as his subscriber count reached well over 111,847,000.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson (24), began his channel in February 2012 when he was only 13 years old. He started out by creating play-through videos of popular games like Call of Duty and Minecraft.

He eventually began making more family-friendly content, including videos where he created wild competitions, performed stunts, and gave away prizes to people.

In January, Forbes revealed that Donaldson had become the highest paid creator on YouTube after he made an estimated $54 million by the end of 2021.

He has also become known for his philanthropic work, and even opened a virtual burger restaurant in 2020.

Earlier this month, the influencer tweeted an old screenshot of the first $100 he made for producing content for the platform.

"I remember thinking YouTube wouldn't pay me because making money off videos seemed too good to be true," he added.

According to his website, MrBeast has an upcoming event planned to celebrate the achievement with his fans scheduled for November 22.
