And so it's come to pass: Mom's Spaghetti opened its doors on Wednesday in Detroit, Michigan, as Eminem announced in a Tweet.

The post also included a first glimpse of the menu, which featured variations on one theme: spaghetti.

The rapper showed up at opening day to surprise fans and hold down the order window. Taking orders and posing for pictures, the Detroit local treated a few surprised fans to selfies.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the opening was a massive success, with a line stretching for blocks. Some fans camped out in the early hours of the morning to get some of Mom's Spaghetti.

The restaurant is a collaboration between the rapper and an operator of several restaurants, and had previously been tested as a pop-up restaurant.

The name and idea are 19 years in the making, inspired by a line from Eminem's 2002 hit song Lose Yourself: "His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti."

Let's hope the rest of that line isn't also part of the new locale's experience.
