Is Miley Cyrus dropping a diss track about Liam Hemsworth?
Los Angeles, California - After two years, Miley Cyrus is expected to drop new music, and the release date for her upcoming single probably isn't a coincidence.
Fresh off the heels of her dynamic New Year's Eve special with her legendary godmother Dolly Parton, the 30-year-old star revealed she has a new song coming soon called Flowers.
Over the weekend, Miley teased the track on Instagram by posting a snippet of the upcoming single and confirmed its January 13 release date.
"I can love me better," the former Disney alum is heard singing in the clip.
Naturally, the news has fans joyous with anticipation, but the seemingly shady lyrics and the song's release date really got internet sleuths talking!
Miley Cyrus sleighed NYE, and she's ready to return to music!
Here's the tea.
Flowers will be released on her Miley's ex-husband Liam Hemsworth's birthday.
The two were engaged in a longtime on-and-off again relationship before getting hitched in 2018, only to part ways and divorce in 2020.
Because of the coy lyrics, fans are speculating that her new track will serve as a diss of sorts towards the Hunger Games actor.
Miley did touch on her relationship with Hemsworth in the 2020 song Midnight Sky, but it appears that she may have one more Wrecking Ball to throw at her ex-hubby.
While fans await the release of Flowers, can we talk about how amazing Miley's NYE set was?
The Party in the U.S.A. artist topped her 2021 event with an even bigger and better concert that featured surprise appearances from Paris Hilton and Sia!
The 41-year-old DJ and the Australian singer joined Miley on stage for a cover of Hilton's 2006 song, Stars Are Blind. Needless to say, the moment was iconic.
As she said in her IG post: New year, new Miley, new single!
