Megan thee Stallion's boyfriend Pardi Fontaine breaks silence on Tory Lanez shooting trial
Los Angeles, California - As the jury in singer Tory Lanez's shooting trial has begun deliberations, Megan Thee Stallion's boyfriend Pardison "Pardi" Fontaine addressed the ongoing court drama.
Pardi is rooting for his girlfriend and all women who have dealt with violence amid the Canadian-rapper's current shooting trial over whether he fired a handgun and injured Megan.
On Thursday, Pardi wrote in his Instagram story that he is in full support of Meg as the explosive court battle came to a close.
"To any woman especially ones of color that has suffered an injustice. I feel for you," he wrote in the post.
"When you do find the courage to speak up .. it seems you will be ridiculed .. your credibility will be questioned .. your entire past will be held under a magnifying glass .. in an instant you can go from defendant in the eyes of the public .. to any one with a daughter Sister mother niece or aunt."
He added, "I pray for their protection .. I pray for their covering .. I wouldn't wish this on anyone."
Tory Lanez's fate up in the air as jury continue deliberations
Fontaine's remarks came on the heels of closing arguments from the prosecution and defense teams, which began on Wednesday afternoon.
According to TMZ, Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott made one last effort to convince jurors that the Say It artist did in fact shoot the 27-year-old rapper, noting that the case is simply about "a guy who shot a girl, then apologized for it."
Prosecutors also pointed to Lanez's "bruised ego" as his reason for shooting Meg.
Meanwhile, the defense team pointed the blame towards the Savage artist's ex-BFF and former assistant Kelsey Harris, maintaining that she was the one who actually pulled the trigger.
Lanez's attorneys further slammed Meg by calling her a liar and accused her of trying to stay on top of the music game with her accusations.
The singer, born Daystar Peterson, is facing the maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months if he is found guilty of the charges against him
