"Yes, in this life and every life": Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly share some big news
Los Angeles, California - They've "walked through hell together" and come out the other side. Now Megan Fox and her bloody Valentine Machine Gun Kelly are in seventh heaven!
The 31-year-old rapper popped the question in a heart-melting, romantic scene caught on camera and shared on social media.
The video, posted to Megan's Instagram profile on Wednesday, shows MGK getting down on one knee on the front steps of their beautiful home, as birds can be heard chirping happily all around them. The 35-year-old Transformers star soon joins him on the ground and is clearly overjoyed to accept the proposal.
The rock is something quite special, too: half emerald, half diamond, MGK revealed that he worked with legendary British jewelry designer Stephen Webster to come up with a ring representative of "the obscure heart that is our love."
The video's setting is loaded with meaning. According to Megan, in July 2020, the two lovers sat under the same banyan tree visible in the background and "asked for magic."
"We were oblivious to the pain we would face together in such a short, frenetic period of time," she continued. "Somehow a year and a half later, having walked through hell together, and having laughed more than I ever imagined possible, he asked me to marry him."
Having said a resounding yes, they then "drank each other’s blood," Megan concluded – which is pretty standard stuff for this quirky couple.
The newly-engaged pair met on the set of Midnight in the Switchgrass in 2020. Megan had recently ended 10 years of marriage to fellow actor Brian Austin Green, with whom she has three kids. Machine Gun Kelly also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
Just over two and a half years (and a lot of red-carpet PDA) later, this whirlwind romance is moving to another level.
