Madonna says she is "still struggling" with being a mom: "It's exhausting"

Los Angeles, California - Madonna may be a material girl, but she didn't hold back when dishing on the challenges of being a mom - even as a celebrity!

Parenthood isn't an easy feat, and the pop star isn't shy about her feelings towards motherhood.

In her new cover story for Italy's Vanity Fair, Madonna got honest about her experience raising her six kids.

"Growing up with a mother like me is a challenge. It has been the most difficult, the hardest battle," the Vogue singer explained.

"Today, I am still struggling to understand how to be a mother and do my job."

Madonna continued that she feels raising children is a "work of art."

"No one gives you a manual. You have to learn from mistakes. It is a profession that requires a lot of time. And it is exhausting because there is never rest."

The pop icon is mom to 26-year-old daughter Lourdes, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon, sons Roccoa and David with ex-husband Guy Ritchie, plus Chifundo "Mercy" and twins Estere and Stella, whom she adopted.

Meanwhile, the longtime entertainer is preparing to take over the world this year with her global Celebration Tour, which begins this summer!

The legendary singer will be showcasing her greatest hits from her decades-long career.
