No one can make a music video quite like Macklemore, and he's returned to the scene to show just what he's got.

In his first single with Ryan Lewis since their album The Unruly Mess I've Made in 2016, Macklemore, born Ben Haggerty (38), totes his optimism for the year to come.

After a year that felt like "God group texted the world and dumped us," Macklemore raps about how "Next year's my come up."

In the music video for the good-vibes jam, the Seattle native powers through a chaotic day with pure positivity. Despite experiencing several serious inconveniences, such as crashing his car while "Wifey" texts him that she's in labor, Macklemore carries on without complaint.

The rapper has a bit of a Snoop Dogg moment when he says, "I'd like to take this opportunity and toast to me for being exactly who I'm supposed to be."

In 2018, Snoop Dogg (50) famously thanked himself in his speech after accepting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

On Thursday, Macklemore posted a video on his Instagram of his six-year-old daughter Sloane's review of his new single. The six-year-old did not hold back, telling her dad, "Not your best, but I still love ya," and, "Is this really your best rapping?"

She even went as far as giving him pointers on how he could make it better, and suggested a few collaboration ideas.

"Did you ask Taylor Swift to get on this song?"she continued, "Adele and Taylor Swift would be great."

While Ryan Lewis might not be Adele, he did win a Grammy for his work with Macklemore on their 2012 album, The Heist.

While the Thrift Shop rapper hasn't announced he has an album in the works, Next Year is a good indication that there will be more clever rhymes to come.
