Having 80 tattoos across his body just wasn't enough for Machine Gun Kelly (31), who has only a few pieces of virgin skin left to fill.

The latest addition to his collection might be the most stomach-turning yet – a wound tattoo that goes across his Adam's apple and all the way down his neck.

Kelly, born Colson Baker, posted a few pictures on Instagram of his fresh ink with the caption, "Bye bye neck". At first glance, it looks as if the musician got his throat slit.

It's hard to be impressed with new tattoos on celebrities who are already covered in ink, but this one hit fans a bit different. The red ink really takes the aesthetic up a notch.

A fan account of the 29-year-old commented, "The way my f*****g heart stopped," on his Instagram post, referring to the realistic nature of his gory tattoo.

Most of Kelly's tattoo collection holds a significant meaning.

He has the name of his latest album Tickets To My Downfall above his collar bone and a double-decker bus signifying the time he was nearly hit by one while looking for weed in London, according to Tattoo Guru.

There's also a "216 EAST" piece on his left bicep, representing the cities of Cleveland and Denver to remind Kelly of the pivotal life lessons learned during his younger years.

Keeping the weirdness alive one necklace at a time

The wonderfully weird world of MGK doesn't start and end with his body art, though. Over the last year, he's been dating actor Megan Fox and things seem to be pretty serious between the two.

Fox and Kelly met on-set of the upcoming movie Midnight in the Switchgrass, where the two ignited their love affair.

After seven months of dating, Elle reported the 34-year-old mother-of-three got a delicate tattoo on her collarbone in his honor. The piece reads "el pistolero", which is Spanish for "the gunman" – one of Kelly's many nicknames.

This was just the beginning of the couple's freaky confessions of love for each other.

They have since sealed droplets of each other's blood in pendants, which they wear around their necks as a sign of dedication to each other.
