Lizzo accepts Emmy with teary speech:"B***h, it's gonna have to be you"
Los Angeles, California - Lizzo accepted an Emmy Award for her show Watch Out for The Big Grrrls with an emotional speech and tears streaming in a bold crimson dress.
The 2 Be Loved singer had big emotions and a debatably bigger fluffy red dress Monday night at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.
Lizzo's reality TV show Watch Out for The Big Grrrls won the Emmy for Outstanding Competition Program, thus ending RuPaul’s Drag Race's four-year winning streak.
In her acceptance speech, the Juice singer said she was "very emotional."
"The trophy is nice but my emotion is for these people who are on the stage with me. The stories that they shared, they're not that unique, they just don't get the platform telling stories. Let's just tell more stories.
"When I was a little girl, all I wanted to see was me in the media. Fat like me. Black like me. Beautiful like me," the Yitty shapewear CEO continued.
"If I could go back and tell little Lizzo something, I would be like, 'You are gonna see that person but b***h, it's gonna have to be you.'"
Lizzo also gave a shoutout to her Big Grrrl dancers, who took part in the competition show and were in the audience for the ceremony.
She said her dancers "are Emmy Award-winning superstars who are going on a world tour."
"Make some noise for my big girls," she added. "I love you guys so much. God bless you all. This is for the big girls."

This isn't the Amazon Studios production's first Emmy this year.
Lizzo's show was nominated for five other Emmy Awards, of which it won two Creative Arts Emmys for Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured Reality or Competition Program and Outstanding Directing for a Reality Program.
Lizzo celebrated the other Emmy wins on Instagram last week, with a post baring the caption: "EMMY AWARD WINNING COOCHIE!!!!"
The star has already won three Grammy Awards, and now she's got an Emmy. With this latest win, the About Damn Time artist is halfway to being an EGOT winner.
