LeBron James promises changes amid his shocking start to the NBA season

Los Angeles, Lakers - Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has vowed to change his personal approach to the season after losing the first four games for the first time since his rookie season.

After losing four consecutive games at the start of the season - the first time since his rookie season - LeBron James has vowed to make personal changes to his basketball performance to improve the overall teams winning success.

"I wasn't aggressive enough in a lot of my turnovers," James said after his eight miscues in the Lakers 110-99 loss to the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night.

"I was coming off a lot of screens, looking to pass, get guys involved, and I wasn't aggressive enough."

James, who finished with 19 points (8 for 21 shooting), nine assists, and seven rebounds, told reporters that the adjustments will start on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

"That's an easy fix for me," he said. "I'll be much better on Friday with that. I've done it over and over the course of my career. That's an easy fix. I'm not worried about that."

While the four-time NBA champion could definitely do with some tweaks to his form, he's far from the only problem the Los Angeles team has.

As James himself admitted, offensively, the Lakers are one of the worst teams in the league so far in the season.

In their meeting with the Nuggets, the Lakers shot 8 for 30 from the 3-point line (26.7%), continuing the worst 3-point shooting start by any team in league.

Russell Westbrook comeback timeline unclear

Adding insult to injury, the Lakers are also dealing with major injuries to their starters.

They played their first game of the season against Denver without point guard Russell Westbrook, who sat out because of a left hamstring soreness.

Head coach Darvin Ham has not ruled out the Minnesota game for Westbrook's return, although James cautioned against comeback that's "too quick."

"Russ, definitely dealing with a hamstring," James said about Westbrook's injury. "I played with [Dwyane] Wade. And I don't know how, but you just have to be cool with all that. You can't force it until that thing is ready to go. You've got to be very conscious of that."

A two-time scoring champion, Westbrook is a key player for the Lakers offensively and without his presence on the court soon, it will be very hard for them to get back on track.

The Los Angeles Lakers will play the Minnesota Timberwolves in Minneapolis on Friday at 8:00 PM EDT.
