Spacey is currently defending himself in court against accusations from actor Anthony Rapp, who has claimed the Oscar winner made unwanted sexual advances against him in 1986, when Rapp was just 14 years old.

When first being hit with abuse allegations from Rapp in 2017, Spacey said he now is choosing "to live as a gay man."

On Monday, Spacey reportedly explained that his father had been a large part of the reason he never publically came out.

"My father was a white supremacist and a neo-Nazi," Spacey said of his dad, Thomas Fowler. "I have never talked about these things publically ever."

"I certainly had a degree of shame," he added, saying he was "terrified" of his father.

He recalled his dad calling him the f-word when he revealed his dreams of becoming an actor.

Kevin Spacey still faces sexual assault allegations

Rapp is currently suing Spacey for $40 million in damages. A judge previous threw out emotional distress charges, with only battery charges now being decided on.

Yet, Spacey is still facing dozens more allegations, with the actor set to stand trial in London next year on four charges of sexual assault from three different men. He has pled not guilty and continues to claim his innocence.

Before the allegations blew the lid off of his career, Spacey was among the most sought-after actors in the world, winning Oscars for his roles in both The Usual Suspects (1996) and American Beauty (2000).
