Kenan Thompson of SNL files for divorce from wife Christina Evangeline
New York, New York - Saturday Night Live star Kenan Thompson (43) filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years, Christina Evangeline (33).
According to TMZ, Thompson filed the papers last month, and the separation has been amicable.
A source also told the outlet that the breakup was simply due to Thompson and Evangeline growing apart over the years.
The couple has agreed to split custody of their two daughters, Georgia (8) and Gianna (3). They continue to live close to one another in NYC to make the arrangement easier.
Back in April, it was officially announced that the two had separated, but no divorce was filed.
The two dated for four years before tying the knot in November 2011, and they were married for three years before they had their first daughter. In total, they have been together for over 15 years.
Evangeline is an interior decorator, and Thompson has been an SNL cast member for 19 years, the longest a comedian has ever been on the show. He is also well known as a childhood actor, best known for his roles in shows like All That and movies like Good Burger and Fat Albert.
Hopefully, their split will continue to go smoothly.
