Kate Winslet hospitalized after on-set slip in Croatia
Kupari, Croatia - An on-set mishap sent Kate Winslet to the hospital. According to her reps, she is alright and will be back to filming this week.
The 46-year-old star is currently filming her new movie Lee, a historical drama, in the Croatian village of Kupari.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Winslet was injured during filming and had to be taken to the hospital. The Daily mail reported that she'd hurt her leg.
Footage from the Croatian website Dubrovački Dnevnik showed the Hollywood icon arriving at the hospital in Dubrovnik accompanied by her team. But the Titanic actor walked into the hospital without any support.
"Kate slipped and was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure required by the production. She is fine and will be filming, as planned, this week," her team told The Hollywood Reporter.
Kate Winslet stars in Lee alongside Jude Law
Winslet, who is playing the photo journalist Lee Miller, is also producing the upcoming film. She stars alongside Jude Law (49) and Marion Cotillard (46).
The new flick is about the photographer and model Elizabeth "Lee" Miller, who was a war correspondent for Vogue during World War II. She covered the London Blitz and the liberation of Paris. Miller was a muse and collaborator of Man Ray and friends with Pablo Picasso and other surrealists.
Shooting for the movie is expected to continue until December. The film does not yet have a release date.
