Kanye West rails about "Jewish mafia" in bizarre interview with Chris Cuomo
New York, New York - Kanye West doesn't take criticism very well and it was no different when the rapper got a grilling from Chris Cuomo on live TV.
West joined the disgraced ex-CNN host for an interview on Cuomo's new show, NewsNation.
In classic Ye fashion, the rapper called into the show from the backseat of a car, and spent most of it doubling down on his blatantly antisemitic remarks.
When the 45-year-old started railing about a "Jewish underground media mafia" that's out to get him, Cuomo quickly fired back.
"Look, there is no Jewish media, cabal, mafia. That is a figment of either your imagination or a projection of a prejudice," the anchor said. "You may have had bad business dealings with people – it’s about those people. It's not about their religion or faith. And I know that you’re intelligent and understand that when you target people because of their faith, other people may do so the same."
But there was no getting through to Kanye, who responded: "I don’t tolerate it as a Black person. What you just said was that you’re trying to say that there isn't a collective – over 50% of the executives and CEOs in Hollywood are Jewish. You can't tell me what to do or feel."
Kanye tries to tune Cuomo out
The 20-minute interview mostly continued with the two talking over each other and at one point degenerated to Ye childishly chanting "la la la la la" in an effort to tune Cuomo out.
One exchange, though, was pretty memorable. Cuomo asked whether Kanye was taking care of himself, to which the Donda artist angrily responded with his own question about Cuomo working out in the morning.
"No. But I took my medicine – I took my antidepressant medication that I take every day," the host replied.
