Kanye West is MIA amid Kim Kardashian divorce trial
Los Angeles, California - Kanye "Ye" West and Kim Kardashian have been in a heated divorce battle, and amid the rapper's recent public chaos, he has failed to show up for a scheduled deposition.
Newly revealed legal documents from the pair's trial have shown that Ye (45) was scheduled to appear for questioning by Kim's attorneys on November 16, but he "did not appear," according to PageSix.
The judge has given Kanye one more chance by rescheduling the deposition for November 29.
If he fails to appear again, he may give up permission "to offer any testimony, oral, or written" when the ex-couple's trial officially begins on December 14.
Kim (42) first filed for divorce from the rapper in 2021. The two stars share four children together - North (9), Saint (6), Chicago (4), and Psalm (3) - and the trial will decide custody arrangements.
Their split has grown even messier as Kanye's recent public behavior has been soaked in controversy.
Most recently, Ye has been under fire for antisemitic remarks he has repeatedly made and then defended in interviews.
His comments got him dropped from multiple endorsements and business dealings with companies like Balenciaga, Adidas, and Gap.
Despite the negative attention, he announced over the weekend that he will be running for president for a second time in 2024.
If Kanye doesn't begin to demonstrate that he actually takes the divorce trial seriously, he may stand to lose any chance of getting custody of his children.
