Kanye drops out of Rolling Loud Miami, with Kid Cudi to replace him as beef continues

Miami, Florida - Kid Cudi will be headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022, replacing fellow rapper Kanye West as the two remain entrenched in a feud.

Rolling Loud took to Twitter on Sunday to announce the departure of Yeezy from the festival's lineup.

"Due to circumstances outside of our control, Ye will no longer be performing at Rolling Loud Miami 2022," the statement read.

They also revealed that the Man on the Moon would be taking his headlining spot.

"Please welcome @KiDCuDi!" they added.

West has made infrequent and sometimes strange public appearances since taking a hiatus back in April to "get help." He subsequently canceled his headlining dates for the Coachella music festival.

"We spent months working with him and his team on the performance. Unfortunately, Ye has decided that he will no longer be performing," Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler, the festivals' co-founders, told TMZ.

"This is the first time a headliner has ever pulled off our show and though we don’t take it lightly, we wish him the best."

Kanye and Kid Cudi on the outs

Back in February, Ye shared on Instagram that he was nixing Cudi from his upcoming Donda 2 album because the rapper was friends with Pete Davidson, who is now dating Ye's ex-wife Kim Kardashian. The two have been beefing ever since, and Cudi later shared that Ye is "not my friend."

While Kid Cudi probably didn't have ill intent by taking over for Kanye West, it probably didn't help with repairing the Kids See Ghosts duo's relationship.
