The 34-year-old name-dropped the politician in his home state while singing her hit single High Horse from her 2018 album Golden Hour.

The country star added some unexpected new lyrics while performing the song: "'Cause everyone knows someone who kills the buzz / Every time they open up their mouth ... Ted Cruz," she sang.

Musgraves doubled down on the call-out, telling the crowd, "I said what I said!"

The audience went wild with cheers after the singer's shot at the controversial Texas senator.

The musician, who is from Texas, has never been shy about her disapproval of Cruz. She previously sold t-shirts with "Cruzin for a Bruzin" written on them after the senator received backlash for vacationing in Cancún while a winter storm left millions of Texans without heat, water, and electricity.

All of the profits from Kacey's shirt sale went to Texans and homeless immigrants in need.
