Fresh off the heels of his lucrative deal with Dior, Why Not Productions has revealed a sneak peek at Depp's role as King Louis XV in the romantic French movie Jeanne du Barry.

Directed by Maïwenn, the drama follows the life of the final royal mistress of Louis XV at the Court of Versailles after Madame de Pompadour.

His role as the controversial historical figure is the Pirates of the Caribbean star's first major film in three years.

Netflix has licensed the film to stream in France after it plays in theaters, per Variety.

The 59-year-old actor's latest bouts with victory follows his bombshell defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

The exes duked it out in a Virginia court for six weeks over the DC star's 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post.

Since Depp won the explosive trial, the 21 Jump Street star has slowly started to revitalize his career, which also included a surprise album with Jeff Beck that digitally dropped on July 15.

But the actor isn't completely out of the legal woods yet.

Depp will be back in court to face off with Heard once again over her appeal of the $10.5 million settlement awarded to him in their defamation case. He has also appealed on money owed to Heard.
