Amber Heard says she still loves Johnny Depp
New York, New York - Amber Heard admitted she still has love for ex-hubby Johnny Depp despite losing the defamation trial of the century.
In a new snippet from the Aquaman star's upcoming sit-down chat with NBC's Savannah Guthrie, Heard got real about her feelings for Depp.
In a clip that dropped Wednesday, the 36-year-old told Guthrie that she harbors "no ill will" toward the Pirates of the Caribbean star "at all."
"I love him," Heard insisted in part two of her interview with the host. "I loved him with all my heart, and I tried the best I could to make a deeply broken relationship work and I couldn't."
The Justice League star continued, "I have no bad feelings or ill will to him at all."
Amber Heard again denies op-ed is about Johnny Depp
The actor also doubled-down on the stance that her 2018 op-ed for the Washington Post, which the explosive trial was about, wasn't about her relationship with Depp.
"What the op-ed was about was me loaning my voice to a bigger cultural conversation that we were having at the time," Heard said after Guthrie mentioned the infamous article.
The Stand actor claimed she "obviously knew" that "it was important for me not to make it about him or to do anything like defame him. I had teams of lawyers review all the drafts of this."
When the NBC host questioned whether Heard wanted Depp to be "canceled" during the height of the #MeToo movement, she responded, "Of course not. It wasn't about him."
Despite expressing her desire to move on from Depp, it seems Heard is still dealing with the fallout from the trial.
Heard, who met Depp on the set of their 2011 film The Rum Diary, was married to the 59-year-old actor from 2015 to 2017.
The full-length interview special will air on Friday at 8 PM ET on NBC.
