On Sunday, the 51-year-old suffered "traumatic injuries" while driving a snow plow at his Tahoe home in Nevada.

Reports suggest the vehicle ran over his leg, which caused massive bleeding, and he had to be airlifted by emergency services after neighbors rushed to his aid.

Video obtained by TMZ showed Renner being picked up by a helicopter and flown to a "local area" hospital, according to a statement from his publicist cited by CNN, where he was operated on for "blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries."

Sam Mast also told the network that the two surgeries were successful and his client was now "in critical but stable condition."

A statement added: "Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City mayor, Hillary Schieve, and the Carano and Murdock families."

Renner was reportedly trying to clear the snow from the road outside his home at the time of the horrific accident. He had previously posted photos and videos of his plowing machine on Instagram.

The Avengers alum had only recently plugged his new show, Rennervations, set to air on Disney+.
