Jennifer Lopez surprises fans with monumental duet and proud mom moment
Los Angeles, California – Jennifer Lopez revealed that her child Emme Muñiz is now using they/them pronouns.
J.Lo used gender-neutral pronouns when she introduced her 14-year-old during an appearance at the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation's Blue Diamond Gala.
Emme surprised fans when they joined their mom on stage for a duet of Christina Perri's song A Thousand Years.
TikTok user ChristinaTheSupermom posted a video of the performance, where J.Lo introduced Emme with they/them pronouns.
The Marry Me actor sported a mint-green ensemble with feather embellishments while Emme wore a hot pink two-piece set with a black hat.
At one point, the Jenny From the Block singer lovingly gazed at Emme as the pair harmonized.
Jennifer Lopez supports her daughter's coming out
The singer first joked that her teenager was "very, very busy, booked, and pricey," referencing their appearance in her Super Bowl halftime show.
"But they're worth every single penny because they're my favorite duet partner of all time," the 52-year-old said.
"I ask them to sing with me all the time, and they won't. So this is a very special occasion."
J.Lo shares the booked-and-busy teen with her ex-husband Marc Anthony.
It's really no surprise that the former couple's kid is gaining celeb status all their own.
Come on – just look at their parents!
We wouldn't be surprised if Emme's twin Max Muñiz has a secret star-caliber talent, as well!
