Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck throw lavish wedding bash with A-lister guests
Riceboro, Georgia - Just a month after tying the knot at a secret wedding in Las Vegas, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez celebrated their marriage with a ceremony in front of friends and family in Georgia.
The couple's newest nuptial celebrations were held on the grounds of Affleck's 87-acre compound outside Savannah, Georgia, on Saturday, per reports.
The bash was lavish and the guests were A-listers. Among the celebrity attendees were Affleck's BFF and fellow actor Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, directer Kevin Smith and his wife Jennifer, actor Jason Mewes and his wife Jordan Monsanto.
Guests wore all white, which matched the white floral arrangements and decor, and the ceremony was officiated by podcaster and life coach Jay Shetty. Guests fined at tables on a riverfront dock adorned with flowers and an all-white piano, and were said to be in store for a fireworks display.
Initial photos showed the bride wearing a capped sleeve dress with a sweeping veil and train, holding a cascading bouquet of white flowers. The groom was in a white tuxedo jacket and black pants.
A source told People that Lopez was "ecstatic" about the big day and that the pair's five children would be part of the festivities. Lopez co-parents 14-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares his three children – Violet (16), Seraphina (13), and Samuel (10) – with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
The insider also said Lopez and Affleck had "an extraordinary weekend of celebrations planned," including "a pre-wedding party, a ceremony and ... lots of fun lined up."
The couple will be reportedly be hosting a barbecue on Sunday.
The couple, who originally dated from 2002 to 2004, rekindled their romance last year and announced their engagement in April. Lopez said Affleck's proposal while she was in the bathtub was "nothing fancy" and gave them "a second chance at love."
They said "I do" at a surprise wedding in Las Vegas on July 16. JLo confirmed the pair had finally tied the knot after 20 years in her newsletter, where she wrote, "We did it. Love is a great thing, maybe the best of things - and worth waiting for."
