Jennifer Lopez defends Ben Affleck after controversial interview
Los Angeles, California - Jennifer Lopez has spoken out about Ben Affleck's recent interview where he seemingly insulted his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
It looks like Jenny from the block is sticking by her man following his controversial interview.
Last week, the Justice League star was slammed by fans after his appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
During the chat, Ben spoke on his 10-year marriage to Jennifer Garner, whom he divorced in 2015.
The actor revealed that the former couple grew apart, which ultimately is what led to their split.
Yet, his further remarks on "feeling trapped" in the marriage is what got him into hot water with fans.
"I'd probably still be drinking," the 49-year-old shared. "It's part of why I started drinking, because I was trapped."
After being dragged by users on social media, Ben did try to clarify his contentious comments during his sit-down chat on Jimmy Kimmel Live afterwards.
The Oscar winner explained that he and ex-wife "respect each other and cared about each other and cared about our kids and put them first."
"I have to draw a line, and be clear. I would never want my kids to think I would ever say a bad word about their mom," he added.
Meanwhile, fans were itching to hear what his ultra-talented girlfriend thought about Ben's latest blunder.
Bennifer 2.0 continues to be stronger than ever
Rumors swirled that J. Lo would most likely be livid over her rekindled beau's seemingly insensitive remarks.
But it appears to actually be the opposite.
In a statement to People, The Wedding Planner star shared, "This story is simply not true. It is not how I feel. I couldn’t have more respect for Ben as a father, a co-parent, and a person."
Bennifer reunited earlier this year after the Selena star split from her former fiancé, Alex Rodriguez.
As for Ben's former spouse, the Alias alum has still remained silent over the messy situation.
Nevertheless, at least Ben has J.Lo in his corner.
