On Sunday, the 55-year-old actor posted a vacation photo of her and her boyfriend, singer Van Hunt.

Yet, the photo looked a little different from a normal couple pic.

It featured the two kissing in front of what looked like an altar at a church-like locale in the middle of paradise. Berry wore a dress and a flower crown to set the scene for what appeared to be a dreamy wedding.

The star took things a step forward by captioning the Instagram shot, "Well... it's official."

Wishes of congratulations poured out in the comments, including from famous friends like Dwayne Johnson, Octavia Spencer, Alyssa Milano, Taraji P Henson, Ava DuVernay, and Naomi Campbell.

But Berry was surprised that so many didn't swipe right on the second photo in the post, which clarified the joke by reading, "It's 2022!"

"We were just having some New Year’s Day fun!" Berry wrote in a follow-up post. "People clearly don’t swipe as much as we thought they did."

"Thank you for the well wishes, tho’, it really touched our hearts!" she added.

Berry took pleasure in kicking off the new year with some light-hearted trickery.

"Now it’s official, the internet is no longer undefeated."

She finished off the post with some hashtag hilarity: "#nomoreswipes4me" and "#Januaryfoolsday."
