Is Wendy Williams married? Confusion spreads after conflicting claims
New York, New York - Word on the street is that Wendy Williams secretly got hitched – but is this true?
The short answer seems to be no, but let's break down the tea on this confusing situation.
On Wednesday, after the gossip site Hollywood Unlocked said that the 58-year-old star had personally called its CEO Jason Lee to confirm her marriage, Page Six came out to correct the record.
Williams' manager, William Shelby, told the outlet that the outspoken TV host is happily dating someone, but they haven't tied the knot yet.
"That’s inaccurate," Shelby said of the initial report. "She is excited about a new relationship and probably got carried away in conversation."
As for the bit about Williams' new guy being a NYPD officer named Henry, Shelby added, "Wendy doesn’t wish to disclose details at the moment."
Wendy Williams has a podcast in the works
Hollywood Unlocked's article contained other spicy claims, such as Williams asking her team to keep her family at bay from the supposed wedding – except for her son Kevin Hunter Jr.
Whatever the case may be, everyone knows that the queen of gossip much prefers spilling her own tea, so it would seem strange for her to stay quiet on such a big event.
The latest update on Williams' love life comes on the heels of her recent struggles with her finances, health, and the cancellation of her long-running daytime show, The Wendy Williams Show.
The former radio disc jockey has been keeping a low-profile as of late, though she did confirm that she doesn't plan to stay away too long, as she has a podcast in the works.
Given all this latest commotion, there's already plenty for her to talk about on the upcoming show!
