Is Tom Hanks in danger? Paul Pelosi's alleged attacker shares bad intentions
San Francisco, California - According to investigators, the alleged attacker of Rep. Nancy Pelosi's husband said he also planned to attack actor Tom Hanks, amongst others.
In a recent court hearing, a law enforcement officer confirmed the attacker's intentions to target other celebrities as well.
San Francisco Police Lt. Carla Hurley testified that 42-year-old suspect David DePape told her that he had a list of others he planned to target.
On that list was Forrest Gump star Tom Hanks and President Joe Biden's son Hunter Biden. Additionally, California Governor Gavin Newsom was also on Paul Pelosi's alleged attacker's list of targets. However, it is still unclear whether his plans were concrete.
The 42-year-old suspect broke into the house of the then President of the US House of Representatives in October and fractured his skull with a hammer on her husband Paul.
According to DePape's own statements to law enforcement officers, he intended to take Rep. Pelosi – who has often been a target of verbal attacks – hostage until she spoke the "truth."
At his San Francisco hearing, DePape denied all charges against him. He is accused of numerous crimes, including attempted murder, assault, and attempted kidnapping.
The judge ruled this week that there was enough evidence in the case to hold a trial.
