"I was stoned": Julia Fox takes the high road in viral TikTok trend
Los Angeles, California - Julia Fox has responded to clips poking fun of her recent interview after it blew up on TikTok and Instagram.
Fox quite literally took the high road and got in on the fun after she became an overnight sensation on the social media apps.
Kanye "Ye" West's ex-girlfriend became the latest trend on TikTok after a clip from her recent interview on the podcast Call Her Daddy went viral.
Fox is seen responding to the host's questions about being a "muse" to Ye, to which she says, "Yeah, a little. Maybe," before adding, "I mean, I was Josh Safie’s muse when he wrote Uncut Gems."
Yet, fans were quick to notice her vocal affect and comical emphasis on the "Uncut Gems" part, which sounded to most users like "Uncut JAH-ms."
The hilarious moment quickly became a trending sound and new joke, with users poking fun at the model while both lip-synching her sound bite and imitating her.
Even Page Six got in on the fun by sharing a compilation of users repeating the phrase.
On Thursday, Fox responded to the trend by hilariously commenting under the outlet's post on IG.
"Omggggg, I was stoned, leave me alone!!!! Hahahahahah," Fox wrote.
Despite unintentionally becoming internet famous, the model seems to be in good spirits following the mocking and her recent split from Ye.
She has even made it clear that she isn't spending her newly single days wallowing over her brief fling with the rapper. After a false report claimed the actor was seen crying following the breakup, she quickly slammed the narrative.
"Why not see me for what I am which is a #1 hustler. I came up y'all lol and not only that but Kanye and I are on good terms! I have love for him but I wasn't in love w the man Jesus Christ," she wrote in a now-removed post on her Instagram story.
A number one hustler who isn't shy about having a puff before an interview – and admitting to it, too.
