"I ain't special": Diddy explains the fame game with some mango motivation

Miami, Florida - Diddy wants you to know that you can live the life he leads, too. All it takes is some mango, and a traumatizing life experience with cockroaches in your bed to kick-start your lavish life just like it did for him.

Celebrities: they're just like you. Or so claimed Diddy in an odd new clip.

On Tuesday, the rapper, born Sean Combs, posted a video on his Instagram to show everyone that there's no secret recipe to success.

If you want to enjoy mango poolside at a mansion overlooking the ocean, you simply have to want it – "bad."

According to the Grammy-winning music artist and business mogul's post, the inspiration and motivation behind his rise to fame stemmed from a traumatizing experience from his childhood.

The caption reads, "One day when I was growing up, I woke up and there was 15 roaches on my face. At that moment, I said hell no, I refuse to live like this."

The video itself featured Diddy enjoying a juicy mango by the pool of his Star Island mansion, dressed in swim trunks, goggles, and fins.

As he chowed down, the 51-year-old told the camera, "You could be eating mango too with the ocean as your background, I ain't special. I just want it, I want it bad – you hear me?"

After a few inaudible sentences, thanks to a mouthful of mango, Diddy wraps things up by pulling his goggles over his eyes and jumping feet-first into his ocean-side pool.

The strange clip received over one million likes in its first few hours, and was trending on Twitter for its #MangoMotivation.

Diddy's message serves as a reminder that if you want your "crazy dreams" to become a reality, it starts with putting in the groundwork. And eating mangos doesn't hurt.
