Hugh Jackman's posts worrying news as he urges fans to check for skin cancer
Jackman has battled skin cancer many times throughout the years. Having had at least six surgeries, the Hollywood star has once again taken to social media to remind his fans to take care of their skin.
The Greatest Showman actor famously ripped more than 80 stitches inside his nose during the movie pitch for the film, as he couldn't help but sing along to motivate the production company to buy into and produce the hit.
But the latest biopsy taken by his doctors gave some cause for concern. "The result was inconclusive, which means they didn't take enough," Jackman explained on Instagram.
Because he is in the middle of filming another movie, he didn't push for them to take a larger sample area. His doctors will take another biopsy in two months when filming wraps, but so far, they aren't too worried about his prospects.
"If it's anything, it's a basal cell carcinoma, which is not threatening, really but needs to get taken care of," Jackman assured fans.
The 52-year-old also encouraged his fans to get regular skin checks by a dermatologist and to always wear sunscreen, as UV radiation is the most common cause of the disease.
