Harry Styles performs and wins big at the 2023 Grammy Awards
Los Angeles, California - Harry Styles had quite a night at the 2023 Grammy Awards as his fashion choices, Grammy performance, and major award wins stole the show.
The pop star arrived at the award show's red carpet on Sunday night wearing a dazzling, harlequin-patterned technicolor jumpsuit that nearly broke the internet.
While most fans on social media applauded the singer's wardrobe for being eccentric, creative, and gender-role defying, others couldn't help but poke fun.
One Twitter user said it gave "clowncore" vibes, while another user compared it to the children's book The Rainbow Fish.
According to CNN, the outfit was designed by Egonlab, a French brand known for its "genderless creations."
Nevertheless, the star wore it with style, grace, and confidence as always.
He soon hit the stage to perform his hit song As It Was, wearing a long sleeve silver fringe jumpsuit, making another interesting fashion statement.
Styles absolutely crushed his performance, which even managed to get a standing ovation from none other than Taylor Swift.
Following his performance, the night was only beginning for the former One Direction member, as he was nominated in several highly contested categories, such as Album of the Year.
Harry Styles takes home big Grammy wins
Harry Styles was nominated for six Grammys at the 2023 show, and while he only managed to snag two for his album Harry's House, they were two big ones: Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year
"I've been so, so inspired by every artist in this category with me at a lot of different times in my life," Styles said during his Album of the Year acceptance speech. "I think, like on nights like tonight, it's obviously so important for us to remember that there is no such thing as 'best' in music."
"This doesn’t happen to people like me very often and this is so, so nice," he added.
Styles managed to beat out industry heavy hitters like Beyoncé, Bad Bunny, Kendrick Lamar, and Adele, all of which were nominated for AOTY.
The Beyhive has definitely not been taking Styles' win lightly, with one fan tweeting, "Beyoncé was robbed!" and another sharing, "Love Harry so much but Beyoncé released #RENAISSANCE."
Styles' third studio album Harry's House dropped last May and was exceptionally well received by fans and critics alike. Most would agree that both of Styles' Grammy wins were well deserved.
Harry Styles' hit song, As It Was, also scored a nomination for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Music Video, and Best Pop Solo Performance.
