Santa Monica, California – Licorice Pizza filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson has teamed up with the ladies of HAIM once again. But this time, it's in the form of a music video.

The sister trio that is HAIM has put their unique and artistic touch on the music world yet again with the help of Anderson.

On Tuesday, the band dropped the music video for Lost Track, which was featured in Anderson's film, Licorice Pizza, which starred Alana Haim and featured her two sisters and bandmates – Danielle and Este Haim.

Though this is Anderson's first time working on a music video with HAIM, it seems he's perfectly mastered their typical visual aesthetics, crafting a soulful and old-school vibe at what seems to be a ladies' luncheon of sorts.

One day before the video dropped, HAIM shared the backstory for the song on Instagram, including some pivotal life moments and experiences that inspired the setting of the Lost Track video.

"'I’ll never get back what I lost track of.' We had that line written for the last year but could never figure out what to do with it. We kept writing it down, not knowing where it should live," HAIM wrote.

As it turns out, Anderson pointed them in the direction of a book called Appointment in Samarra, and the sisters were struck by a scene where the main character tosses a drink in someone's face at a fancy country club.

"We were inspired by the idea of someone doing something so drastic to get out of a situation they felt uncomfortable in – just to feel something," HAIM said.

"We finally remembered that lyric and wrote and recorded the song and shot the whole [video] in a few days! Anyway, felt fun to do something very collaborative."
