From firing the entire board of directors and getting sued by a slew of former Twitter employees to bringing back controversial figures like Kanye West and Donald Trump only to soon after find out just why some were banned in the first place, one thing's for sure: Musk has surely kicked his Twitter takeover off with a bang.

Sure, it was once hard to imagine just what else could go wrong in the "Muskocalypse" of Twitter after the Tesla CEO initially rolled out the paid Twitter Blue verification system, which led to the creation of a plethora of fake verified accounts that quite literally wreaked havoc on the stock market.

Little did we know at the time, Musk's Twitter changes were far from over, and the chaos had only just begun.

Spaces disappears after Twitter goes on a banning spree

For a guy who preaches "free speech" more often than not, it seems many of Musk's newly implemented policies and bannings aren't particularly free speech friendly. As the list of suspended accounts continues to grow, it's becoming evident that Musk may not have meant every word he once said.

For example, Twitter's permanent suspension of the @ElonJet account led the account runner to Twitter's rival, Mastodon, to share the same information he once tweeted to his hefty following base. This, in turn, led to the suspension of Mastodon's Twitter account and numerous accounts that tweeted out links to the platform, per Tech Crunch.

However, back on November 6, Musk tweeted, "My commitment to free speech extends even to not banning the account following my plane, even though that is a direct personal safety risk." But the latest suspensions indicate his stance on this specific matter has changed.

On Thursday, Twitter shockingly suspended several notable journalists' accounts who often report on matters Involving Musk.

Later that day, the Twitter Spaces function appeared to be completely removed from the platform after Musk joined a Spaces discussion hosted by BuzzFeed News' Katie Notopoulos. The reporter was asking Musk about the journalists' account suspensions.

Musk abruptly dipped out of the Space after a few questions from reporters, and the Space itself was completely shut off soon after. Then, the Spaces function was seemingly removed from Twitter altogether.

Though Musk claimed they were just fixing a Spaces feature and noted it should return, it's safe to assume there may be more abrupt changes to come as Twitter's Muskocalpyse continues.
