Ed Sheeran books weeklong residency on The Late Late Show to promote his Bad Habits
Los Angeles, California – On Tuesday night, James Corden announced that Ed Sheeran will be stopping by the show each night next week, leading up to the TV debut of his upcoming single Bad Habits.
Not only will Sheeran be the musical guest on The Late Late Show with James Corden each night, but the music artist will also appear in sketches and interviews.
His nightly appearances will all lead up to Sheeran's television debut of his first single from the new album Bad Habits.
In the announcement, Corden asked a member of the show's house band, Reggie Watts, if there was any advice he wanted to give the Grammy-winning singer, to which Watts half-jokingly responded, "Performance is a lifestyle, you're gonna be doing it for a long time."
He continued, "Don't worry about each gig, because you got a thousand more gigs, so just say f**k it."
It's hard to imagine Sheeran would have any reservations or nerves coming into his weeklong gig to promote his upcoming album, one the artist has yet to confirm the name or release date of.
On May 17, Sheeran posted a photo of himself playing guitar on Instagram with the caption "something's cookin,'" sending fans into a tailspin of excited questions.
One fan account commented, "BRO BRO BRO OMG," while another user wrote, "IVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED OMG OMG."
Since then, the Shape of You singer has been teasing fans on social media with content featuring Courteney Cox and the one and only Sir Elton Jon.
Over the last week, the songwriter has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos and clips from the upcoming music video for Bad Habits, and even posted a short acoustic preview of the soon-to-be released single.
The music video for Bad Habits will premiere on Friday, June 25.
