Drew Barrymore fulfills her childhood dream with a new project!
Los Angeles, California - Drew Barrymore try her hand at journalism with the launch of Drew, her very own quarterly lifestyle magazine.
It's been her dream for as long as she can remember, the 46-year-old revealed in the latest episode of her own series, The Drew Barrymore Show, on Wednesday.
She echoed the same sentiment when speaking to WWD.
"Magazines are such a huge part of my life and they’re such a huge part of my inspiration for everything I do," she said.
"I’ve lined my walls with magazine tear sheets since I was like 10 years old. I have a picture of myself in my bedroom and it’s like floor to ceiling and wall to wall. I’ve always loved magazines because of the paper and the experience."
The publication, which is scheduled to be available on US newsstands by June, will focus on beauty, travel, celebrities, and food. It will sell for $9.99 per issue.
"Every glossy page will include the people, places, and things I love the most," the Charlie's Angels star announced in an Instagram post.
Barrymore admitted she likes to keep it old-fashioned, and will be launching the paper in print instead of issuing a purely digital version.
The mother-of-two will act as editor in chief of Drew, alongside writer Crystal Meers, who will be serving as editorial director. Joanna Bean Martin and Naz Sahin of AfterAll Studio will be the magazine's creative directors.
