Drake breaks bad news to fans as Young Money reunion is put on hold
Toronto, Canada - Drake announced that his much-anticipated Young Money Reunion show has been pushed back due to Covid-19.
Unfortunately, Drizzy fans will have to wait a little longer to see his long-awaited reunion with two fellow hip-hop stars.
On Monday, hours before he was supposed to take the stage with Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj, the 35-year-old rapper shared on his Instagram story that he has tested positive for covid.
"I am truly devastated to say that I tested positive for Covid and the Young Money reunion show scheduled for tonight is being rescheduled to the SOONEST date possible. I will keep the city posted and share the new date whenever we have it locked," Drake wrote in the post.
"Until then I hope everyone stays safe and healthy and I love you all. I am so sorry for letting you down on our weekend together and the moment I test negative I will give you everything I got on stage (except the Covid)."
The Grammy-winner's performance with Minaj and Wayne, who appeared on the 2009 track Bedrock with Drizzy, was supposed to close out his three-day event, Drake's October World Weekend festival.
The weekend party went full steam ahead with performances from Chris Brown, Lil Baby, and a surprise cameo from Nelly Furtado.
Drake hasn't announced when the show will be rescheduled to, but here's hoping for a speedy recovery!
