Demi Lovato feuds with LA frozen yogurt shop over sugar-free products!
Los Angeles, California - Demi Lovato is furious at a frozen yogurt shop in Los Angeles – because it sells sugar-free options!
On the weekend, the 28-year-old took to Instagram to call out the popular shop The Bigg Chill, which sells frozen yogurt and a variety of ice creams.
While people on diets probably appreciate the option, Demi has a strong opinion about the establishment and she didn't shy away from putting it on her story!
And although it's only ever available for 24 hours, numerous screenshots from users and media outlets like PageSix show just how bitter Demi is about the store.
The Dancing With The Devil singer wrote that she finds it very hard to order anything from The Bigg Chill "when you have to walk past tons of sugar-free cookies/other diet foods before you get to the counter."
In her view, this is a way to pressure people into dieting, potentially leading to eating disorders. Demi herself is well-versed in the subject, having battled bulimia and drug addiction for many years.
"Do better please," she urged.
The internet is divided on Demi's outburst
Frozen yogurt shop counters Demi's criticism!
The store didn't waste any time in responding to the criticism, stating that it carries products for diabetics, people with celiac disease, and vegans, in addition to their usual "indulgent items".
It went on to say, "We cater to all of our customers needs for the past 36 years. We are sorry you found this offensive."
But the singer couldn't let it go, calling her experience ordering from the store "triggering and awful".
In her story, she posted private messages she had written to the company, giving the store tips on their marketing.
"I was thinking, maybe it would help if you made it more clear that the sugar free options and vegan options are for that. Labeling the snacks for celiac diabetes or vegans."
Demi thought that would be beneficial for everyone.

Demi then discussed the situation in an Instagram video
After having some time to cool off, Demi returned with an eight-minute Instagram video in which she changed tack: "I definitely jumped to conclusions."
"I'm sorry that I got the messaging wrong. I'm sorry that I may have disappointed some people," she said. "I walked into a situation that didn't sit right with me, my intuition said speak up about this, so I did."
"I'm willing to talk to this froyo shop to help get the messaging right [...] I want to make LA and this whole country – and this whole f****** world – a safer environment."
