Comedian Russell Brand accused of sexual assault, emotional abuse in bombshell investigation
London, UK - An investigation from several prominent British news organizations has uncovered troubling allegations against comedian Russell Brand.
The joint investigation by media outlets The Times, Channel 4 Dispatches, and The Sunday Times has uncovered reports that actor Russell Brand allegedly sexually assaulted four women between 2006 and 2013.
Details of the alleged attacks, which include rape and abusive behavior, that have been released so far are brutal and corroborated by various pieces of documentation like text messages.
Brand was a presenter for Channel 4 and BBC Radio 2 as well as a popular Hollywood actor during the time period when these allegations would have taken place.
Most of the four women involved in these allegations have chosen to stay anonymous at this time.
Russell Brand confronts damning allegations in YouTube video
The Sunday Times and the Times gave Brand an eight-day notice about their investigation in order to allow for possible comment before the news broke.
In an attempt to try and get ahead of the still ongoing Saturday reports, Brand made a video on Friday where he stated that his relationships had always been consensual.
"The relationships that I had were absolutely always consensual," he said. "I was always transparent about that then - almost too transparent. And I'm being transparent about it now."
"Amidst this litany of astonishing, rather baroque attacks are some very serious allegations that I absolutely refute," Brand said in the video.
