Compton, California - Friday and House Party star, Anthony "AJ" Johnson has tragically passed away.

The comedy world is mourning the loss of another legend.

On Monday, TMZ reported that the actor best known for his breakout role in the hit classic, Friday, died.

According to the outlet, the cause of death is still unknown.

However, Anthony was rushed to the hospital earlier this month after being found lifeless in a Los Angeles store.

The Def Jam star had quite a few prominent roles in various iconic 90s films and TV shows.

A few of his film credits include, House Party, Lethal Weapon 3, and the hit series Moesha and Malcom & Eddie.

Fans began paying tribute to the late actor on Twitter after the news broke, with many highlighting his eclectic roles and comedic talents.

Johnson was married to Lexis Jones Mason, with whom he had three children.
