Cardi B talks ditching divorce from Offset and Saweetie cheating rumors
Los Angeles, California - Cardi B got real about why decided to give rapper Offset another chance after filing for divorce.
In 2020, the 30-year-old Bodak Yellow artist infamously filed for divorce from the former Migos member after publicly calling him out for cheating on her.
In a clip shared from her interview on The Jason Lee Podcast, Cardi opened up about why she chose to stay with Offset.
"Me and Offset, we was not seeing eye-to-eye. This was like, the same year I filed for divorce and everything," the WAP rapper told the host.
"I'm gonna let him talk about this because the main thing that was really bothering me. I'ma let him say it. I want him to say it, because I feel like that's really part of his story."
The mom of two did express to Lee that the Walk It Like I Talk It rapper did "change" his behavior, which led to their reconciliation.
"The main thing that I wanted him to stop and everything, he stopped and he changed, and it showed me that he wanted to change for me," she continued.
Cardi B breaks silence on Offset and Saweetie cheating rumors
The hip-hop power couple's relationship has been tumultuous since they secretly got hitched in 2017.
In addition to almost getting divorced, it was alleged that Offset's rumored affair with Saweetie is what led to the disbandment of Migos.
The rumors began when Saweetie's ex and Migos member Quavo dropped his single Messy in October.
Cardi finally broke her silence on the gossip and explained why she didn't initially address it.
"You know why I was quiet? I was quiet because one thing I'm gonna do, I'm gonna find out the truth. And you know that I was finding out that truth," the Please Me artist stated.
"So, it's like, if I entertain something that I know is not true, on the internet, people be like, 'Oh, it is true because you’re addressing it.’ But when I don’t address it, it’s true or not, as well."
"So, I'm like, you know what? I’m just not gonna entertain the bulls**t, because if I entertain it, it’s gonna keep goin’ longer and longer. At the end of the day, I know what’s going on in my house," Cardi concluded.
