Topless Britney Spears gives new meaning to #FreeBritney

Los Angeles, California - Britney Spears, who has been living under a conservatorship overseen by her father for years, is currently fighting for her freedom in court. On social media, however, she is making more freeing moves.

Over the weekend, the pop princess posted two photos on Instagram wearing nothing but skimpy jean shorts.

Posing topless, she covered her breasts with her hands.

Departing from her usual lengthy captions, this time, she only captioned each post with emojis – stars on her post from Sunday and a plant on Saturday.

Perhaps she is growing into a new phase of her life?

Britney's fans were quick to make the connection from the liberating posing to the #FreeBritney movement, which has propelled fans and celebrities alike to speak out in favor of ending the star's conservatorship.

"Britney just freed herself," one user commented. "Now, she's saying #FreeBritney," another wrote.

"Free the Britties!" read another comment, which itself has gained over 42,000 likes.

"She’s feeling free and we love to see it!!" wrote another fan.

Celebs even chimed in on the photos. Snooki, of Jersey Shore fame, commented in an ode to one of the pop star's songs, "Gimme gimme moreee."

Paris Hilton, who has publicly expressed solidarity with the Toxic singer, left a comment with her signature phrase, "That's hot!"

Fans would agree, especially with its connection to a double meaning.
