"Here's my ass ladies and gents": Britney Spears shows off a bold new side and dizzying dance moves
Los Angeles, California – Britney Spears appeared loud and proud in her latest Instagram post, and confessed to fans she was all for doing something new.
The pop queen has not lost her ability to keep things fun and fresh, and her most recent post does something she said she never does.
On Wednesday, the 39-year-old caused a stir with her dancing machine ways, and bits of her continued off-kilter posting thrown in.
While some of her followers have found her past clips disconcerting and slightly off, most herald their idol, who looks like she's still in her prime.
Her latest posts prove the point – and in pop princess fashion, purposely pushed the envelope.
The series of snaps from the Toxic singer showed off a highlighter yellow booty-bearing leotard that leaves little to the imagination.
"I never show my ass on Instagram," Britney confessed, adding, "And no...I'm not wearing a thong!!!!"
The sexy star radiated confidence, and made no apologies.
"Oh well...here's my ass ladies and gents!!!!" she added. "Enjoy."
The star posted the same photo she used four times consecutively last week
Britney paired the neon look with a black fur coat, knee-high white boots, and a black choker.
"I took these yesterday for fun," the pop star explained.
But a few hours later, she uploaded another post of the same photo that she also used four times in a row last week – adding further mystery to the repetitive messages and identical captions simply saying, "Rose."
"I have so many questions," commented one fan. Others were quick with the Britney music-themed jokes, writing, "Oops she did it again. And again." and "Post me baby one more time."
Yet, Britney later seemed to be back on course again, and soon followed up with another post in the previous bright yellow leotard showcasing some dizzying dance moves.
"Man, my back is broken from just watching this," said a commenter of the erratic spinning.
The confusion is once again rallying followers of the #FreeBritney movement, who believe the singer is being held against her will under the conservatorship of her father.
"Let this woman out of her house already," wrote one of them on Wednesday. "All 9500 of us in the comments should be able to storm Britney’s house and escort her out," said another with the same sentiment.
Britney is scheduled to speak out on her own behalf for the first time in years at a quickly-approaching court appearance on June 23.
Until then, her Instagram photos and dance moves will have to do the speaking for her.
