Britney Spears talks nude photos and reveals why she agreed to conservatorship
Los Angeles, California - Britney Spears' bombshell memoir has revealed why the pop singer shares nude pics via Instagram and the one reason she "went along" with her conservatorship.
The 41-year-old pop star revealed more insight into her life via her book, The Woman in Me, which drops on October 24.
New excerpts obtained by The New York Times have touched on Britney's frequent risqué pics that she started posting via IG following the end of her 13-year conservatorship.
Per the Criminal singer, she wrote that she loves sharing her body and innermost feelings with fans online.
"I know that a lot of people don't understand why I love taking pictures of myself naked or in new dresses," she began.
"But," she continued, "I think if they’d been photographed by other people thousands of times, prodded and posed for other people's approval, they'd understand that I get a lot of joy from posing the way I feel sexy and taking my own picture."
Britney Spears says she agreed to conservatorship for her sons
Additionally, Gimme More artist explained the "one good reason" why she agreed to her controversial conservatorship.
"I did it for my kids," she wrote, adding, "Because I played by the rules, I was reunited with my boys."
The Crossroads star lost custody of her sons Sean and Jayden in 2008 after her public breakdowns and divorce from their father, Kevin Federline.
A California judge would then place Britney under a conservatorship controlled by her father, Jamie, that lasted for 13 years.
Since its termination, the Toxic artist has been embracing her "freedom," which is also why she posts nude snaps on social media.
"Freedom means being goofy, silly, and having fun on social media. Freedom means being able to make mistakes, and learning from them," Britney explained.
