Los Angeles, California - Despite some fans' distrust of the actor, Britney Spears is making it clear that her boyfriend Sam is her "cute a**hole!"

Britney publicly thanked her boyfriend Sam Asghari for sticking by her through the "hardest years of her life."

On Wednesday, the pop star took to Instagram to share a cute selfie with the 27-year-old.

In the caption, Britney praised him for his support and also shouted out his cooking and acting skills.

"Not only has this cute a**hole been with me through the hardest years of my life but he happens to be an extremely good cook!" she gushed. "Fast & Furious franchise, don’t miss out on your next star."

Sam joined in on the fun by replying, "Yes F that a**hole" in the comments.

Yet, the inside jokes may not mean much to some diehard Britney fans.

Those who have closely followed the duo's relationship know that the personal trainer hasn't been a fan-favorite among the #FreeBritney movement.

Britney's fans continue to side-eye Sam

It has been alleged for some time that the singer's beau has been capitalizing off of her name.

In 2019, fans accused Sam of using Britney after an interview with ET where he spoke about improving his career.

Even on her most recent post, users continued to warn the 39-year-old that she's in a "toxic" relationship.

"He’s using you for fame and money….RUN," one fan wrote.

"He is your problem you blind," another user commented.

However, the accusations have seemingly fallen on deaf ears, as the Circus singer is clearly head over heels for her former backup dancer.

Meanwhile, Britney is gearing up for her upcoming court date on September 29.

In the ongoing battle to remove her father from her conservatorship, things have been recently working in the singer's favor.

In August, her father Jamie filed legal documents to stating he would cooperate in his removal as her co-conservator. The surprising move followed Britney's allegations of abuse and mistreatment from her father in June.

However, the pop star's candor wasn't shocking to followers of the #FreeBritney movement, who accuse those close to Britney of taking advantage of her mental health for years. Her boyfriend Sam is included in that camp.
