Britney Spears and Elton John team up to re-record legendary hit!
Los Angeles, California - Pop icons Britney Spears and Elton John have teamed up to record a new rendition of the hit song Tiny Dancer, in what will mark the pop queen's musical comeback!
According to Page Six, the duo secretly met at a studio last week to record the duet of the 1971 classic.
"This was Elton’s idea, and Britney is a huge fan. They have recorded a remix of Tiny Dancer as a full duet - and it is incredible," an insider told the outlet.
"They’ve already played it for people at their record label, and everybody is freaking out. It is so good."
The single will mark Britney's highly anticipated return to music. The pop star has been excessively busy marrying her fitness trainer partner, Sam Asghari, and moving on from the trauma of her conservatorship, which was finally dissolved in November after 13 years.
"They are saying this is going to be the song of the summer," the insider added.
The original Tiny Dancer was released on John's fourth studio album, Madman Across the Water. Last year, It was ranked number 47 on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
Britney Spears and Elton John's new single will be released through Universal Music sometime in August.
