Blink-182 singer Mark Hoppus shares some news in his fight with cancer
Los Angeles, California - Blink-182 singer Mark Hoppus has shared positive news with his fans about his battle with cancer.
"Scans indicate chemo is working," the 49-year-old wrote on Twitter on Monday.
"I still have months of treatment ahead, but it's the best possible news."
He said he was grateful, but while still feeling sick from last week's chemo.
"But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of the people around me are destroying this cancer. Just going to keep fighting..."
The singer and bassist had announced via his social media channels in late June that he had cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.
"But I'm trying to remain hopeful and positive," he wrote there.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Hoppus shared in a Twitch livestream that he has been fighting stage four lymphoma, specifically a blood cancer and that if chemo were to fail, he would look at getting a bone marrow transplant.
"Can't wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the near future," he wrote.
