Ben Affleck hits the red carpet without J. Lo – Is George Clooney to blame?
Los Angeles, California - Jennifer Lopez (52) and Ben Affleck (49) are inseparable – or so it seems. But at the premiere of Ben's new film, Jenny from the block was nowhere to be found. The reason is said to be none other than George Clooney (60).
Stars stepped out on Sunday night for the premier of The Tender Bar at the Directors Guild of America Theatre in LA.
But one famous face was noticeably absent: Ben's lady love, J. Lo.
"Jen famously didn't get along with George Clooney when they made Out of Sight together," an insider told Britain's The Sun.
During filming, which both starred in and was released in 1998, they allegedly "couldn't stand each other."
Although a lot of time has passed since then, their dislike for each other reportedly hasn't changed.
"So it's funny that Ben's new movie is with George, and it's no coincidence Jen wasn't photographed on the red carpet with him," said a source, despite the fact that the pair attended another screening together for the film earlier in the day.
George directs The Tender Bar, while Ben stars. The pals, who both have played Batman, goofed around with their fellow actors on the red carpet, and were in high spirits.
The movie is adapted from JR Moehringer's book of the same name, and is slated for release on Amazon Prime Video on January 7, 2022.
It is their second film collaboration. In 2012, George produced Ben's directorial venture, Argo.
If Bennifer is in it for the long haul, it looks like Jennifer may have to squash her beef with Ben's frequent collaborator.
